We are excited to announce that AOP 20.3 is now available for download at apexofficeprint.com!
This is a *free update* for all of our users, cloud and on-premises (with a valid maintenance contract). You can view the full release notes here.
Highlights:
- 10x Faster PDF Conversions: We have revved up the AOP engines, and files less than 1MB will notice up to a 10x speed boost when converting to PDF.
- PDF Forms: Simplify your workflows by converting your paper forms to digital versions. Let AOP generate a blank form to send to users, read a completed form you’ve received and tell you what fields and data exist, and even fill in the forms needed to keep your business running. Advanced PDF features (PDF form creation, PDF form filling, reading & querying PDF forms, signing PDFs, and locking/flattening PDFs) are only available with On-premises Gold & Enterprise Licenses or any Cloud subscription.
- Chart Templating: You can now create chart templates by using the {aopchart} tag. This allows you to customize the look and feel of the chart in your template and let AOP fill in the data when the document is generated.
- Print from Python: We are dedicated to making it easy for you to print and export your data using AOP from ANY technology. In addition to PL/SQL and APEX, we now have a Python SDK and supporting documentation. Look for support for additional technologies in future releases.
- PDF Sample Application: In the last two years we have focused on bringing you powerful PDF tools from PDF creation to manipulation. To easily showcase all of AOP’s PDF features, we have created a dedicated PDF Tools sample application. Check out exciting new examples and easily find features that can help you succeed.
- Report Scheduler Application: We have received many requests from users wanting to schedule their AOP-generated reports, and today we are happy to provide a simple solution. The AOP Report Scheduler application allows users to create and schedule AOP reports from ANY application with a few clicks of the mouse.
- Enhancements, Bug Fixes, Performance Improvements & an Updated Sample App: For the complete list, see the release notes.
To say the least, AOP 20.3 is a huge release. We are investing heavily in AOP and are looking forward to utilizing the new APEX_DATA_EXPORT API that is included in Oracle APEX 20.2, which will lay the foundation for even further integration with APEX in the future. There are many exciting things to come, and we can’t wait to share them with you!
Until next time,
The AOP Team
