We are excited to announce that APEX Office Print (AOP) 21.2 is now available for download at apexofficeprint.com!
This is a *free update* for all our users, cloud and on-premises (with a valid maintenance contract). You can view the full release notes here.
Highlights:
Map Regions: Loving the APEX Maps Region? Well, now you can print and export those beautiful maps just as easily as any other APEX region.
Template Caching: Do you use the same template repeatedly to produce your reports? If so, you may benefit from template caching. When enabled, AOP will store a copy of the template and pass back a hash that can be used to refer to the template in subsequent calls, thus reducing the payload sent to the server.
Configurable Tag Delimiters: If you have been using AOP for a while, you know our tags begin and end in curly braces { }. If you need to use curly braces in your documents, want to reuse templates from another technology, or simply prefer a different delimiter, we have good news! You can now configure AOP to use {{ }}, < >, or << >> as tag delimiters.
Email to PDF: You asked, and we answered! Email messages can now be converted to PDF. Simply convert them on their own or add them to a document by prepending or appending them.
Enhanced Templating: Bring more power to your templates by using Filtering and Mathematical Expressions. Using a single data source, slice-and-dice your data in multiple ways! Perform sums, averages, grab min and max values, or filter for specific values without rewriting a single query.
Enhancements, Bug Fixes, Performance Improvements & Updated Sample Apps: For the complete list, see the release notes.
For us, this release has been about rounding up our existing features, bringing solutions to edge cases presented by you, our users, and making the APEX Office Print server the absolute best version we have ever had. Thank you for your continued feedback and feature requests as they fuel us to create the best product possible.
We have some really exciting things coming your way very soon, so keep an eye out!
