Effortless Setup

Getting started with SearchBox Pro is a breeze:

1.  Define your searchable content in Shared Components → Search Configurations
2. Add the SearchBox Pro plugin to your app's global page
3. Specify which search configurations to include 
4. Customize the look and feel with the built-in template options

Thanks to search configurations, the search works with standard SQL queries and more advanced options like Oracle Text indexes for fuzzy searching. You can even reference existing lists or use the new "ubiquitous search" feature in 23ai databases.

Responsive Design

We made SearchBox Pro fully responsive out of the box:

• On large screens, it will appear as an input item
• On small devices, it switches to a tappable "spotlight mode" button to save space
• You control the breakpoint where the UI switches between these modes

Flexible Customization  

While the default templates look great, you have full control to customize:

• Use CSS to style the search bar, dropdown, and overlay to match your app
• Provide your own templates for search results with APEX template syntax support
