Today, I’m proud to share an important milestone in the journey of United Codes: United Codes is joining Anchr, a Belgian house of companies.
Before anything else, I want to start with gratitude. I’m deeply thankful for the incredible team we have and for how far we’ve come together. United Codes was built 100% bootstrapped, funded entirely by ourselves. Step by step, with belief, passion, and a lot of perseverance, we grew into an international company and became a recognizable name in the Oracle APEX world, thanks to our people and the customers who trusted us.
What we’ve built together isn’t ending. It’s entering a new chapter, one focused on growth.
The truth is that United Codes has been approached for acquisition many times over the years. But I was never interested in becoming bigger just for the sake of size or money.
When Anchr came along, it felt different. Anchr is also a Belgian company. People matter. It’s not only about margins, but it’s also about long-term thinking, innovation, and building sustainable companies.
Anchr is a house of companies. Each company maintains its own identity while benefiting from the group's strength. That was essential for me. The United Codes brand remains fully alive, with strong autonomy. Our culture stays. Our DNA stays. Our people can remain proud of what we built together.
At the same time, United Codes becomes part of a larger group, securing its future beyond any one person. I remain a shareholder, but United Codes is now bigger than me. And that gives peace of mind.
I’m also genuinely excited to join forces with a longtime friend, Bjorn, who will become co-CEO. Bjorn will focus on consulting and customer delivery, while I will continue leading product development, R&D, and innovation.
People who know me know I do things with passion.
United Codes has always been a company that works with its heart. That is something I want to protect, and something I hope becomes part of our legacy. Companies should not only be about numbers, but also about people, trust, and helping others with the talents we have. That will not change.
Our commitment to the APEX community will also remain rock-solid. Our products stay at the core of what we do. With Anchr, we now gain the ability to scale consulting and help more customers successfully roll out our solutions, while continuing to invest heavily in innovation and support.
Looking toward 2026 and beyond, one challenge stands out clearly: AI. AI will fundamentally change how we work and how we build applications. APEX development will evolve significantly.
We believe this is an opportunity. The role of the APEX developer will move toward intent-driven, AI-assisted development. AI-native APEX tooling is coming, and we intend to be at the forefront of that shift.
In the coming years, we will invest heavily in:
All while preserving our culture, speed, and passion for innovation.
I’ve been doing Oracle development for almost 30 years, with more than 20 years focused on APEX. I started in consulting, building applications, evangelizing APEX, helping customers succeed. Consulting allowed us to help many companies, but I felt we could have an even bigger impact by building products.
That transition wasn’t easy. There were doubts. People questioned the decision. Some didn’t believe in it. But we kept pushing ourselves.
That journey led to APEX Office Print (AOP) and later a broader product portfolio. Today, AOP is used in over 120 countries by more than 15,000 developers, something I could never have imagined 30 years ago.
With team members across Europe, Asia, and the US, we already have a strong global presence. Joining Anchr allows us to accelerate that journey even further. In many ways, it feels like being back 20 years ago, starting again.
Technology evolves. Tools change. What stays the same is our ability to understand business needs, see where technology can help, and translate that into real solutions, now amplified by AI.
When challenges are big, I thrive. This is one of those moments.
I warmly invite all my APEX friends, developers, customers, partners, and community members to embrace this new beginning with us.
The past was awesome. Let’s make the future awesome together.

co-CEO, United Codes (part of Anchr)
