Utilizing Substitution Strings for Date and Number Formats in Oracle APEX

Instead of hard-coding format masks throughout apps, we can reuse Oracle APEX’s in-built date substitution strings or create our own, which we can then reference in the page designer. This way, we only define them once and ensure our UI is consistent.

Before we get into all the exciting news from the past few months, I want to take a moment to explain who we, as United Codes are. Until recently, our company was known as APEX R&D, you are probably familiar with one of our Oracle APEX-related products, such as APEX Office Print or APEX Media Extension. APEX R&D has been rebranded to United Codes, but don't worry; only our look has changed!

A new look, a new name...

Last Thursday we gave a new look to our products APEX Office Print (AOP) and APEX Media Extension (AME). Not only did they get a new logo, but the whole website and portal were also put in a more modern, minimalistic look.
